A single-vehicle accident involving a semi truck briefly blocked part of Ingra Street near 15th Avenue early Friday, according to Anchorage police.

Police spokesman MJ Thim said dispatchers received a call reporting the incident at about 3:30 a.m. Officers weren’t informed that anybody was injured.

“We got to the scene; we had a semi that was blocking the 2 northbound lanes of Ingra south of 15th Avenue,” Thim said. “It looks like it had lost its load.”

A KTVA photographer saw crews trying to remove heavy equipment that had fallen off the truck onto Ingra.

Crews from the state Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, as well as tow trucks, were called to assist. Thim said Ingra’s blocked lanes reopened by about 6 a.m.

Police are investigating why the semi’s load spilled, Thim said. No charges or citations had been filed Friday morning.
