Anchorage police are asking for the public's help to find a male who escaped from an Anchorage halfway house.

A warrant arrest has been issued for Nicholas Thomas Cooper, 34, who left the Cordova Center for an appointment but did not return, according to Anchorage Police Department spokesperson Renee Oistad. He was recently convicted on theft charges.

Cooper is 5-foot-7, around 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
