Troopers catch 13-year-old behind the wheel in Southeast
A juvenile was pulled over in Ketchikan Saturday night after driving around without headlights on in the dark.
Alaska State Troopers said around 6:49 p.m., they pulled the vehicle over near the intersection of Trollers Lane and North Tongass Highway. When the officer got to the car they found a 13-year-old male in the driver's seat and 54-year-old Connie McReynolds of Ketchikan in the passenger seat.
The juvenile was released to a parent and cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. McReynolds, who allowed the 13-year-old to drive, was cited with permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
No other details have been given, including McReynolds' relation to the juvenile.
