Employees at a Midtown gas station say a pickup truck flipped onto another vehicle during a collision Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck occurred at the Shell gas station at Tudor Road and Arctic Boulevard at about 2 p.m., according to people at the scene.

A station employee said the driver of the flipped black truck was headed north on Arctic, crossed a lane of traffic and hit a pole. It then flipped onto a white Isuzu SUV.

Police spokeswoman Nora Morse said officers got a call just after 2 p.m. advising that tow trucks were headed to the area, but officers didn’t respond because it wasn’t specifically reported as a crash.
