Families looking for a fun fall experience may find just what they're looking for with The Alaska Railroad's Halloween Train. This time there are even new times and new activities on board for kids.

Tim Sullivan of The Alaska Railroad said, "This is one of the specialty trains we like to run in the off-season...it's filled with all sorts of fun activities for kids and families."

Last year, the Halloween Train only ran for one weekend, but this year they are expanding it to two weekends. You can catch a ride on October 21 and October 28, with two trains running for each of those days.

Sullivan does recommend to purchase tickets soon as the Halloween Train does sell out.

Activities for the kids on the train include magicians, balloon animals, coloring contests, raffles and all sorts of things to keep them entertained. Visit Alaska Railroad's website for more details.
