More than a hundred people gathered for a tea party at the Dena’ina Wellness Center in Kenai in mid-September -- but not your ordinary tea party. Members of the Kenaitze Tribe spent months gathering berries and plants, like chaga, wormwood and yarrow, to make tea and share stories about how Alaska Natives used plants as medicine throughout their history.

In this segment of Frontiers, here are some of the highlights from the “Plants as Medicine Conference” hosted by the Kenaitze Tribe, which drew traditional healers from across the state.
