Woman rams car into east Anchorage home
Anchorage Police say an Anchorage woman tried to flee the scene after ramming her car into an apartment building that houses people with disabilities.
An APD officer that responded to the crash at the 4600 block of Camila Court said the female driver lost control of her vehicle when she slammed on the brakes. She tried to run from the scene, but police were able to chase her down, authorities say.
The woman, identified by APD as 24-year-old Tani Osterman, She was cited for driving without proof of insurance and driving while license suspended. Additionally, Osterman was criminally charged with leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.
Police say Osterman did not appear to be drunk.
