A Texas man missing in the Anchor Point area over the weekend is being sought by Alaska State Troopers, who are asking for the public’s help to locate him.

Word reached troopers Saturday afternoon that 40-year-old John Griffith hadn’t shown up for work, and hadn’t been heard from since “the morning hours” that day. He was last seen wearing an orange jumpsuit labeled with the logo for M-I Swaco, a subsidiary of drilling services firm Schlumberger.

“An investigation showed Griffith was last seen in the morning hours on (Saturday) and he had failed to show up at his work site nor has he been in contact with anyone,” troopers wrote. “Griffith missed scheduled flights to go home to Texas on (Monday).”

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said Griffith had last been seen in the Anchor Point area, but there wasn’t word on exactly when or where he was last seen.

Anyone who has seen Griffith, or has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call troopers in Anchor Point at 907-235-8239.
