He’s a bar-man at Spenard Roadhouse, and a one-man-band behind the microphone. Orion Donicht’s sound can be best described as a unique mix of existential blues, apocalyptic hymns and post-punk Americana. His songs are purely Alaskan and sure to leave a lasting impression on your ears.

Donicht joined Daybreak Friday to share a couple of his original songs and talk about how his love for music came to be.

“My dad was a musician, my grandma was a musician; music was always in my house when I was a kid,” he explained. “I just thought everybody played music when I grew up. It just kind of all worked together. It all happened naturally.”
