Their sound is a mixture of R&B, reggae, rap and Hawaiian. H3 is one of the most popular Polynesian reggae bands based in Anchorage. The moniker H3 signifies the three-part harmony sung by the original band members and refers to Interstate 3 in Hawaii.

Friday, H3 joined Daybreak for a Mic Check in the Morning. Guitarist and lead vocalist, Shaun Pacarro ssaid it’s their positive vibe and upbeat music that attracts a diverse audience.

“It brings various people from all over different backgrounds, old and young,” he said. “So that’s what H3 stands for, to me, is bringing music to all people of all color and races and ages.”
