Mixing blues with a healthy dose of rock and roll, HarpDaddy & The Puddle Jumpers are set to bring their down-home sound to Anchorage.

According to their website, HarpDaddy is heavily influenced by Muddy Waters and has a huge stage presence. The band also brings in gospel roots for a unique view of the blues.

The young artists, the Puddle Jumpers, are a part of the Alaska Music Project for Youth (AMP). AMP bills itself as a grassroots initiative of Alaska musicians to create the next generation of musical artists, providing music education and access to recording equipment and instruments.

HarpDaddy & The BackCountry Mojo, a separate band featuring the lead vocalist, will play at the Hard Rock Cafe in Anchorage on Saturday, Feb. 11. The show starts at 8 p.m.
