The Anchorage School District is offering a new way to schedule parent-teacher conferences. Parents of students in the school district can now schedule the meetings online via the ASD website.

The 2015-16 school year parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Feb. 17 and 18, with an in-service day on Feb. 19.

“Conferences offer parents the opportunity to find out how their child is getting along with classmates, how they’re progressing in school and what can be done at home to build on strengths and overcome challenges,” school officials said in a statement announcing the new feature.

Parents are encouraged to check their school’s specific availability when requesting a meeting time. Times may vary between schools and teachers.
