Anchorage police say the Kochergin brothers, Samuel and James, have been found.
“Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out,” police spokeswoman Renee Oistad said in a statement.
The Anchorage Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a pair of missing brothers.
In a statement Saturday, police said 12-year-old James Kochergin and his 13-year-old brother Samuel Kochergin were last seen at their home near the intersection of Lore Road and Lake Otis Parkway. According to APD spokeswoman Jennifer Castro, the boys’ parents last saw them before going to bed around midnight Friday, and when they woke up around 9 a.m., the boys were gone.
“We don’t know the circumstances of their disappearance at this time,” Castro stated.
James has run away from home twice before his most recent disappearance.
Samuel is 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds, according to police. James is 5-feet-1-inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. It was not immediately clear to police what either boy was wearing when they disappeared.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the boys is asked to contact APD at 907-786-8900.
