APD identifies man killed West Anchorage industrial accident

A man was killed Friday afternoon when a wall he and another man were removing collapsed, the Anchorage Police Department (APD) wrote in a release. Police identified him as 24-year-old Nicholson Tinker, of Anchorage.
Few details were immediately available, but at 3:34 p.m. emergency responders were called to a fourplex on the 1500 block of W. 40 Avenue.
Police said the men were removing a retaining wall to build a new one and were taking down wooden support beams when the wall fell. In the release from APD, the agency called the incident an accident.
Police stated Saturday Tinker’s next of kin have been notified.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, better known as OSHA, is investigation the incident.
