Anchorage police respond to vehicle versus pedestrian hit-and-run
The Anchorage Police Department (APD) is asking for help locating the driver of a sedan involved in a midtown Anchorage hit-and-run.
According to APD, the collision was reported at 8:53 a.m., at A Street and Benson Boulevard. The vehicle ran a red light and struck the pedestrian, who had the right of way, police said.
The driver fled the scene and headed east on Benson Boulevard.
The pedestrian had not life-threatening injuries and was evaluated by the emergency responders, APD wrote in a release.
The vehicle involved is described as a silver or beige sedan with damage on the front passenger-side and missing a passenger side mirror.
