Police say missing 75-year-old woman found safe

ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police say they have found Virginia Cook, who went missing in East Anchorage Tuesday morning.
“Cook has been located and is safe,” police wrote in a Nixle Tuesday night. “We appreciate your help.”
The Anchorage Police Department is looking for a missing woman who suffers from dementia.
Police said 75-year-old Virginia Cook was last seen in the area of Muldoon Road and Debarr Road around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Cook was wearing blue sweat pants, a blue sweater and brown boots, according to police. They described her as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. She has gray hair and hazel eyes.
