The Anchorage Fire Department was called to fight a fire at a Southside pizzeria early Thursday morning.

AFD says a call came in around 4:15 a.m. of a fire at 88th Street Pizza. When firefighters arrived, the flames were mostly on the outside corner of the building — where they believe the fire started, AFD said.

Fire crews say no one was hurt, and they were able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No word on whether 88th Street Pizza will be open later today.
