In the Anchorage mayoral race, four frontrunners have emerged from the crowd of 11: Ethan Berkowitz, Dan Coffey, Amy Demboski and Andrew Halcro.

Municipality rules say the candidates in the April 7 election must get at least 45 percent of the vote to win. If not, the top two earners will face each other in a runoff election.

The past week has been one of endorsement announcements, left and right, from the candidates. KTVA 11 News talked with University of Alaska Anchorage political professor Dr. Forrest Nabors to break down the race — and weigh in on if those endorsements could actually make a difference at the polls.
