Alaska Fishing Report for July 14, 2016
Ship Creek is now closed for king salmon fishing.
Silvers should be arriving there in a few weeks.
Lakes are fishing good, especially in the evening.
Streams are open for trout — make sure to check the regulations to see which areas are open and which are closed.
Parks Highway streams are open again below the highway except for kings.
Start looking for pinks, chums and silvers to show up soon.
Lakes are fishing good.
Reds are moving in on the Kenai.
Trout fishing is good there too.
Russian River is fair for reds and good for rainbows.
Lakes are good.
Halibut and rock fishing is great.
Silvers aren’t there yet in good numbers.
King salmon fishing is good around the harbor.
And lingcod fishing is great far offshore.
Silvers are hit and miss.
Halibut is phenomenal with big fish being caught regularly.
Rockfishing is great and there are some kings around.
Lots of good-sized halibut are being caught.
King fishing is slowing down.
Rockfishing is very good.
Silvers are picking up.
You can find good fishing for lingcod if you get out far weather permitting
