How do you say “thank you” to those who serve? For Hilltop Ski Area, it’s simple.

On Thursday, it will offer its Military Appreciation Night for the month of January. That means a free lift ticket, lesson and meal for all active and retired members of the military and their families.

“It’s nice. It shows there are people who still appreciate what we do,” said Spc. Randy Johnson.

Hilltop Ski Area general manager Rick Cramer agrees.

“These guys and gals, they’re out whenever you need them, whether it be war time or this or that, natural disaster, we try to pay them back,” Cramer said.

The event will run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Hilltop Ski Area will offer this free evening two more times this season: Feb. 9 and March 9. Both are Thursdays.

“It’s a nice give back where the community and military can get together and have a nice night out,” Johnson said about the event.
