Police have released the man suspected of shooting another at the Foxwood Condominiums in South Anchorage Monday afternoon.

The man was detained by police, questioned, then released Monday night, said Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Castro. No charges have been filed.

Castro says officers have a few more interviews to complete before handing the case over to the District Attorney’s Office. They will then decide if the case warrants charges or if it was self-defense.

The victim in the shooting is still in an Anchorage hospital, Castro said.
