Anchorage police are investigating two robberies in Anchorage Tuesday. Police have said it is not immediately clear if the two are connected.

The first reported robbery occurred at Money Mart, located at 6311 Debarr Rd. APD sent out an announcement of the robbery just after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

APD said no one was injured.

An employee at the scene told KTVA shots were fired, but no money was taken. The employees went into the safe room until police arrived.

The second robbery was reported a short time later at the Jewel Lake Road Value Liquor. Police sent out a second notification shortly after 1 p.m., and said no one had been injured during the robbery.

A Value Liquor employee said the suspect just took the money and left.

“We do not know at this time if the two are related and we know there were at least two armed male suspects involved,” police said in a statement. “We are asking residents to keep an eye out and if you notice anything suspicious in you area, please contact police right away.”
