Alaska vet searches for Korean War buddy
Their plane was shot down during the Korean War, and Alaska vet Robert Kittleson hoped an Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C. would answer a question he’d been asking for years: Did his friend Jack Allen survive?
We traveled to the Korean War Memorial with Kittleson looking for the answer.
About Robert Kittleson:
Kittleson didn’t quit the service after being shot down in Korea. He went to Vietnam, where he flew 64 missions. He fought in World War II as well, but lied about his age so he could enlist. He was just 16 at the time.
