Climate change is creating challenges across Alaska’s Frontier. Villagers in Unalakleet say they’ve experienced one of the strangest winters in recent memory. The lack of sea ice in Norton Sound has made it difficult for many hunters to catch seals.


In this web extra, we’ll talk with two people who have tracked climate change for many years. Michael Brubaker with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and Larry Merculieff is president of the Global Center for Indigenous Leaders. Both give insights into the record warm weather across the state.
