A suspect in a Muldoon shooting that left one man dead and another injured turned himself in to Anchorage police Friday, Anchorage District Attorney Clint Campion confirmed. The Anchorage Correctional Complex said 23-year-old Christopher Birotte was booked around 4 p.m. Friday. He is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree assault.

Police said 19-year-old Tiwan Johnson Jr., and another man arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning. Johnson died later that day. The other person, who police have not named, is expected to recover.

They were shot in the Brown Jug liquor store parking lot near 100 Muldoon Road, according to APD.

An arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Anchorage jail court.
