APD investigating shots fired near Boys & Girls Club
Anchorage Police are investigating two reports of gunfire that happened early Friday morning.
The first was in Mountain View at about 3 a.m. Neighbors reported hearing multiple shots fired on Price Street.
By the time officers arrived there was nothing left but shell casings– just feet from the Boys And Girls Club.
Several neighbors said they didn’t hear the shooting, but they weren’t surprised it happened.
Christopher Nicks, a concerned neighbor, said, “They’ve been shooting their guns off every single day and fireworks, too, and who knows. You can tell when it’s a gun and not fireworks and they’re just being ignorant, it’s just plain ignorance really.”
Police say the second report of shots fired happened just a half hour later in the 4300 block of Arctic Boulevard.
Again, police found multiple shells but no suspect or vehicle on scene.
