The Alaska Aces have missed the playoffs the past (and only) two seasons in their 13 year history as a member of the Eastern Conference Hockey League. Their chance to reverse the trend this season took two steps in a positive direction Wednesday.

The team announced the re-signing of forwards Justin Breton and Stephen Perfetto, both of which were high impact players in Anchorage last season.

Breton accounted for 23 goals and 18 assists in 66 games. Perfetto played in 72 games with 15 goals and 33 assists.

The Aces will take to the ice for three exhibition games on Oct. 10, 11 and 13, when the South Carolina Stingrays come to the Sullivan Arena. They open the regular season on the road in Colorado on Oct. 21 and begin the home campaign at the Sully with Rapid City on the Oct. 28.
