As the Aces embark on a new season, they’ll do it with local favorite and Anchorage native William Wrenn.

The team announced Wednesday that the 25-year-old defenseman will re-sign with the Aces. The team captain had a stellar season last year for Glacier Blue playing in 57 games, scoring four goals with 37 assists.

Wrenn was named to the All-ECHL second team. He also spent time with AHL Utica.

Alaska Aces begin the season with three exhibition games against the South Carolina Stingrays Oct. 10, 11 and 13 at Sullivan Arena.
