Santa is traveling back to the railbelt next month and he’s bringing the Christmas spirit with him. The annual holiday train kicks off next month with three weekends worth of family friendly fun.

Meghan Clemens with the Alaska Railroad joined Daybreak Tuesday to talk about this year’s event and how she says it will bring families a sense of winter wonderland.

“You have a magician on board, you have carolers, coloring contests and, of course, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus making an appearance as well,” Clemens said.

The holiday train runs twice daily the first three Saturdays of December.

The first two trains are sold out, but the trains departing on Dec. 19 still have seats available.
