It’s a one-stop-shop to jump start your summer vacation plans. The annual Alaska Summer Showcase is happening Saturday at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Local travel companies will be offering up specials that you can only get at the one-day event.

Tuesday, organizer Scott McMurren joined Daybreak to talk about some of the “deals and steals.” He said you’ll only find the best of the best.

“We have 29 of my hand-picked favorite attractions, tours, experiences,” said event organizer Scott McMurren. “These are the people that i send my friends and relatives to and it’s just going to be great. Everybody gets to walk around and check this stuff out.”

There will be live entertainment and more than $20,000 worth of travel prizes are up for grabs.
