According to the State of Alaska’s website, Alaska Permanent Fund dividend checks will be sent out Oct. 6. Which begs the question: What will you do with your PFD?

If you’re thinking about going on a vacation, but don’t have any ideas on where to go, the PFD Travel Fair can help point you in the right direction.

From noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Alaskans can talk to travel industry experts, find special deals on trip, listen to live music and sample food truck fare. Fairgoers are eligible for around $20,000 in prizes, including a trip to the Cook Islands, two tickets for anywhere Alaska Airlines flies and more.

Tickets are $10 in advance plus a service fee, or $15 at the door. The travel fair will be held at the Bill Sheffield Railroad Depot at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
