The Anchorage Police Department says there is concern for the well-being of 15-year-old boy who disappeared on his way to a sleepover at a friend’s home Friday night.

Francisco Mena was last seen leaving his home on Crescent Moon Place to spend the night with a friend around 10 p.m. Friday. Later, that friend arrived at his home looking for him because he never made it to their house, according to a statement from police spokeswoman Renee Oistad.

“There is concern for Mena as Mena has a medical condition which requires medication that Mena has now not had for two days,” Oistad said.

Mena is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Oistad said he has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, blue or black shorts and Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 907-786-8900.
