The Anchorage Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found dead on a bicycle path Sunday morning.

Police found the two victims’ bodies just west of the intersection of N Post Road and Viking Drive around 7:45 a.m., according to a statement from police spokeswoman Renee Oistad.

“Observations we’ve made at the scene lead us to believe that some type of foul play was involved in the deaths,” Oistad said in an email to KTVA. “They do not appear to be from natural causes. I cannot elaborate beyond that at this time.”

Oistad said no arrests have been made.

This is a developing story; please check back for updates as they become available.
