Clear Creek Cat Rescue (CCCR) is urgently looking for foster homes for cats and kittens.

Volunteers with the nonprofit say they’ve received an influx of stray felines due to successful live trapping operations around Southcentral Alaska.

Right now the rescue has more than 100 cats and kittens staying with foster families until the CCCR can find the felines forever homes.

Resources are running thin.

Volunteer Corlis Kimmel says she’s taken in about fifty foster cats on her own over the last four years.

“It’s really one of the best rewarding experiences you can have. Even it is one cat every now and then, that one cat you’ve made a difference in that cat’s life,” Kimmel said.

To help find its rescues a forever home, CCCR is offering an adoption special over Labor Day Weekend.

From Saturday through Monday, all adult cats are $30 and all kittens are $70.

You can find which felines are up for adoption on CCCR’s website.
