Got candy? Bean’s Cafe is accepting Halloween candy donations
Bean’s Cafe is hoping to give something a little sweeter to its clients after Halloween. The nonprofit is accepting donations of Halloween candy.
“GOT CANDY?! We’ll take it!” the organization said on its Facebook page. “Once the candy is sorted and the sugar comas have worn off, pack up the extra candy you have and bring it to Bean’s Cafe. We are having a post-Halloween candy drive!”
Bean’s Cafe spokeswoman Lisa Sauder says the candy can be used in many ways, “prizes for activities such as bingo, in client goody bags that are distributed at the end of day as a thank you to clients for their volunteer work, and as an occasional special treat.”
Candy donations can be dropped off at 1101 E. Third Ave between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to Bean’s.
Monetary donations can be made online at the Bean’s Cafe website.
