Fairbanks inmate dies at hospital
An inmate died Monday at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, according to officials with the Alaska Department of Corrections.
Dustin Wallace, 36, was declared dead at 5:05 p.m.
Wallace had been arrested for violating his conditions of release on April 2 following drug and weapons charges, according to DOC spokeswoman Sherrie Daigle. Wallace was being held at the Northstar Center, Daigle says.
Alaska State Troopers and the State Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating his death.
Wallace’s next of kin have been notified.
