No groceries in the fridge? No problem! We’re keeping things simple in this week’s Recipe Box and packing the flavor into a quick and easy comfort food.
Anchorage writer Julia O’Malley shares her recipe for Pasta Aglio e Olio. It’s a traditional Italian dish that takes a minimal amount of time and effort to make.
“Start to finish, it’s about 20 minutes,” O’Malley says, adding that there’s no trip to the grocery store needed. The recipe calls for ingredients commonly found in a kitchen pantry. And for that reason, O’Malley says this is the meal to make “on the worst day at work you’ve ever had.”
For the of-age consumers, she recommends pairing the dish with a glass of wine.
