Recall issued on Kirkland brand pepper sold in Alaska

A recall has been issued on Kirkland Signature Course Ground Malabar Pepper sold at Costco stores between April 4, 2014 and June 4, 2014.

The company which makes the product, Olde Thompson Inc., has issued the recall due to possible salmonella contamination.

The recall applies to 12.7 ounce plastic jars with a best by date of 03/2017, UPC Code 096619164998 and one of the following Lot #: 065099, 065169, 065254, 065255, 065256 or 065284.

According to a press release by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, the product was sold in Alaska, but no illnesses or reactions have been reported.

Alaska DEC recommends disposing of the product immediately. Those with questions can call Olde Thompson Customer Care at 844-568-5555.
