Prisoner exchange involving JBER soldier possible

The Obama Administration is seeking to resume talks with the Taliban in hopes of agreeing on a prisoner exchange involving Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, according to The Washington Post

ANCHORAGE – There many be some movement in efforts to free a Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson soldier held captive by the Taliban.

The Washington Post reported Monday that the Obama Administration is seeking to resume talks with the Taliban in hopes of agreeing on a prisoner exchange  involving Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

The JBER soldier was captured more than four years ago in Afghanistan and is believed to be held in Pakistan.

The sergeant’s Taliban captors announced last June they would like to swap Bergdahl for prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
