A ministerial team is filling in at the Catholic Diocese of Fairbanks for a priest on administrative leave.
The diocese announced May 23 that the Rev. Clint Landry, parish priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, is under investigation by the FBI.
The diocese says the investigation involves church computers and the Internet. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (http://bit.ly/1joER9Z) reports Landry has not been charged.
Diocese director of human resources and legal coordinator Ronnie Rosenberg says a three-member ministerial team is filling in.
The priests are covering ministries at Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Spanish Ministry, the Filipino Ministry, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Barrow and St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on McGrath Road.
Sacred Heart is the largest Fairbanks Catholic congregation. About 1,000 people attend Sunday services.
