A 35-year-old man has been charged with sexually abusing a minor and authorities fear there could be more victims.
On June 13, an Anchorage Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit detective was called to investigate a report of sexual abuse after a young girl said she was molested by Charles David Brumlow, said police spokeswoman Dani Myren in a statement.
From the investigation, detective Leonard Torres learned of two other girls who also said Brumlow sexually abused them. All the victims knew him, police said.
On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for Brumlow’s arrest and he was taken into custody. He is charged with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of attempted sexual abuse of a minor, one count of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of incest. He was remanded to the Anchorage Jail without bail, Myren said.
Police say the believe Brumlow had contact with other children who he may have abused. They are asking anyone with additional information to contact Torres at 786-8573.
