Police search for woman missing for nearly a week

Anchorage police are asking for public help finding a woman last seen by her family almost a week ago.

According to a statement from the Anchorage Police Department, 33-year-old Lena Allain is believed to have been in the area of E. 3rd Avenue and Post Road on the morning June 8. Neither friends, family or coworkers have heard from her since June 7, police said, and family members are growing increasingly concerned by the length of her absence.

Allain is an Alaska Native about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to APD. Police said anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call APD at 907- 786-8900.
