Police ask for help solving year-old case

By Emily Carlson 10:30 PM January 14, 2014

Gary Erwin, 67, and Melvin Kosbruck, 28, had been roomates for more than ten years.

ANCHORAGE - Police are asking for your help in solving a year-old double murder.

On Jan. 13, 2013, someone killed two roommates in their Mountain View apartment.

Police said the men were murdered in such a violent way they don’t want to release the morbid details. Both Gary Erwin and Melvin Kosbruck suffered greatly before they died, authorities said.

Now a year later, Anchorage police said they have a few people of interest on their radar.

However, they’re pleading for anyone who has any information about what may have happened that night to come forward.
