56 new nonprofits added to donor list
ANCHORAGE - Some Alaskans are already dreaming about how to spend next year’s permanent fund dividend. In 2014, you’ll have more ways to give back to their communities.
Pick.Click.Give., the PFD giving program, is adding 56 nonprofits to its donor list. The program allows people to share their PFDs with their favorite causes across Alaska.
With more choices than ever, it’s easy to give to an organization you already support or find a new nonprofit whose cause is important to you.
This is the first year Alaska Botanical Garden is on the list.
“This will make a tremendous difference for the garden as we are expanding our educational programs and continuing to build a world class botanic garden,” said Julianne McGuiness, said ABG’s executive director.
This year, Alaskans pledged a record $2.4 million from their PFDs. The total number of organizations featured by Pick.Click.Give. has grown to more than 500. Click here for more information about the program.
