ANCHORAGE – A Nikiski man is facing serious injuries after a rollover crash on the Kenai Spur Highway Wednesday night.

Christopher T. Overhuls, 30, had been driving a maroon 2000 Ford Mustang at a “high rate of speed,” troopers said, when he lost control of the car, left the road and smashed through a fence near the old Agrium Inc. fertilizer plant.

Around 10 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a report of a vehicle rollover at mile 21.2 on the Kenai Spur Highway, near North Miller Loop, according to a troopers report.

Overhuls was flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, the report said.

Overhuls was wearing a seatbelt when he crashed, troopers said. An investigation is ongoing.
