Mom cave make over - Joan Green

Joan Green here, and I would love a make over for my family room. In our 1956 house, our family room is located in the basement. We love to gather for movies, board games or scrapbooking/crafts. Coming down the stairs into the family room is like stepping into a time warp from 1950's. The room is serious need to a makeover.
We a have a five person household but limited seating for our family. The room is full of things to hold our "things". The room is 13x19.
We are looking to replace our old carpet with updates wood laminate flooring and a large area rug. We would love additional seating with a large theater type sectional or captain theater chairs. Additionally, I would like to have a large high bar table with high bar stools behind the sectional to do crafts, scrapbooking or eating while watching a movie with the family. A wall unit to surround the television for a modern look, and much needed storage would be great.
Thank you for considering us for this wonderful opportunity.

Joan didn't say that besides her two children and husband she is also taking care of her 90 Grand Mother.

I like the extra attention to detail Joan Green put her narrative about the cave make over. Joan gives a clear description of her vision for room remodel, and goes the extra step to explain how the familyroom will be used for future activities.
