At a downtown Anchorage press conference today, Begich debuted a new website feature soliciting Alaskans' suggestions for cutting the federal budget.
He said solutions for cutting costs are suggested to him everyday from constituents and his office designed the page to streamline Alaskan interaction.
Begich warned that effects of a shutdown would be widely felt from social security recipients to federal workers to food inspectors.
