Rep. Pete Petersen, Anchorage-D

I agree that the public has a right to know.  I traveled to Anchorage for legislative business to attend the Business of Clean Energy in Alaska Conference.  As a member of the House Energy Committee, I felt it was important to attend this conference to help find solutions to meet Alaska’s extensive energy needs.  Whenever the legislature is in session, including special sessions, I have to pay to maintain a place to live in Juneau.  If we were not in special session and I were not maintaining a residence in Juneau, I would not receive per diem for attending this conference. I did not claim additional travel per diem for my travel to Anchorage.
