Rep. Mia Costello, Anchorage-R

I was excused one day during special session to attend a House Finance Committee meeting in Anchorage and I've never received per diem for personal leave since I've taken no personal leave -- during either session or special session. I think legislators who go home for a day or two who still have to pay rent in Juneau are justified in taking the per diem. I do think the public should be the ultimate judge of the policy and I'd be happy to talk to my constituents about it when I get home.
