Lt. Governor Has New Chief Of StaffDeputy Chief Of Staff promoted; previously served under Gov. Sean Parnell
Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell announced Monday that Michelle Toohey has been promoted to serve as his chief of staff.
Toohey had been deputy chief of staff since the beginning of Treadwell's term in December 2010. Toohey previously served as deputy press secretary for Governor Sean Parnell and was a legislative aide in Juneau and Anchorage from 1987 to 1996. She graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in broadcast journalism. David Stone was the previous chief of staff. Stone was named Assistant Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. |

Why does the Lt. Governor need a staff? The guy has a glorified no-show job. This woman is a clueless name dropper who wouldn't be where she is had it not been for her husband paying the bills. You want to accomplish something in life? Get a real job in the private sector.
